Autsch

- Why am I in such a mess?

Premiere on 5.12.24 at Sophiensæle, more shows: 6., 7. and 8.12.24

Autsch deals with the unsolved case of a dissolved woman: Simone Dede Ayivi is not well. But who or what is responsible? The pandemic? The climate crisis? Is Simone Dede Ayivi going through the menopause, or can she no longer afford the rent? Is capitalism to blame or is she simply lacking the right breathing technique? The case is complex. As the investigation progresses, it becomes clear that Simone Dede Ayivi is not the only victim. Many people feel miserable, and they are all looking for an explanation, should they not be too tired to do so.

In this true-crime performance, Simone Dede Ayivi & Kompliz*innen set out on the trail of the mystery of general miserability. The disappearance of one’s own well-being is probably the biggest unsolved criminal case in many a biography. In a playful way, the performance attempts to name grievances and bring the question “How are you?”, personal happiness and mastering everyday life from the private sphere into public discourse. Because if life is becoming more stressful for almost everyone and the quality of life of many is deteriorating, neither self-care nor self-optimization will help in the long term.
Together with the audience, Simone Dede Ayivi & Kompliz*innen want to find out how we can work together and in solidarity to create a good life for everyone when no one has the strength to do so.
